Balloonists have been collecting pins for as long as we can remember. It became a popular habit to commission pins to commemorate your balloon to give to crew, land owners and fellow balloonists.
There are a number of collectors who have amassed hundreds of pins and avidly exchange duplicates with fellow enthusiasts.
