Details

Description:

A barograph, used to record changing air pressure. It has a slowly rotating drum to which chart strips, or aluminium foil blackened over a candle, are attached. It has a felt pen and recording needle, and is driven by a clockwork mechanism. Made by Gebr Winter GmbH & Co KG in West Germany, construction number 63467, it was donated by Andy Elson from his early pioneering flights.
