Tony Patey prototype single burner

A prototype single burner built by Tony Patey, owner of the Thermal Aircraft Company. The aim of the metal cone is to create a Coanda effect, which is the tendency of a fluid flow (gas or liquid) to adhere to a wall or curve it encounters, and flow along this surface. The gas outlets are in the metal frame at the base of the cone, the gas, under pressure, will follow the line of the cone and when ignited will create a ring of fire to heat the air in the envelope.
