Geoff Payne quadruple burner, 1972

A quadruple burner built by Geoff Payne for G-AZRI, a Payne 56,600 cubic feet home built balloon. It was the first burner to have liquid feed pilot lights. It has 2 independent fuel line feeds and controls. It was purpose built for Brian Ribbans for Alpine flying. The shackled corners were where the envelope and basket wires attached. There were no pole supports from the basket in the early days.
