A Colt 77A, serial number 1496, named Star Flyer 2. Partner to Star Flyer 1, these two balloons achieved the first flight over the summit of Mount Everest on 21 October 1991. Star Flyer 1 was piloted by Chris Dewhirst (Australia) with cameraman Leo Dickinson, and Star Flyer 2 was piloted by Andy Elson and cameraman Eric Jones (all British). The two 6,800 m³ (240,000 ft³) balloons set hot air balloon records for the highest launch at 4,735 m (15,536 ft) and touch-down at 4,940 m (16,200 ft). Logbook not held by BBM&L.
