| Description: | A Colt 17A Cloudhopper, serial number 789, named Smirnoff. G-BIDV(1), serial number 34, was a prototype Colt Cloudhopper 14A and first flown on 29 July 1979 in Oswestry, Shropshire. Robin Batchelor flew G-BIDV(1) over the Henley Regatta on 4 June 1981, the direction took him right down the rowing course. All the fabric on G-BIDV(1) was replaced on 24 February 1986. The two envelopes can be distinguished by the placement of the registration, the registration on G-BIDV(2) being higher up the envelope. Last flight of G-BIDV(2) was on 9 July 1989. Logbook held by BBM&L. Total hours flown 82. |
