The Daily Telegraph magazine number 563 for 12 September 1973 with 40 pages containing various stories and advertisements profusely illustrated with colour and B/W pictures.

The ballooning feature entitled ‘Inflation +Levitation = Elation’ covers 6 pages and starts with a double page spread photograph of the Heineken hot-air balloon flying over green landscape. David Pryce-Jones ‘describes the elation and the occasional moments of angst experienced in a flight of the world’s biggest hot-air balloon over our highest mountain'

The following 2 pages are filled with 13 colour pictures taken by Ian Howes, Greg Germany and Michael St Maur Sheil of the preparation, flight and landing ( in a hedge) of the Heineken balloon with unique double-decker wicker basket.

The final 2 pages describe the planning, background and flight of this dramatic occasion.
