Museum Mobile Display
If the Public can't come to the Museum, then the Museum will go to the Public.
In 2008, the West Berkshire Museum, closed.
The BBM&L, who had had a presence there for 25 years, were asked to remove their newly refurbished exhibit during renovation works. Unfortunately, this turned out to be a permanent arrangement and our exhibits (see below) were all put into storage.
However, in November, our founder member, Mike Allen donated the monies to purchase a secondhand mobile display trailer. Martyn Turner, Jason Lomax and his wife Louise, Richard d'Alton and quite a few others. worked hard to bring it up to a standard that the Museum would be proud to take to balloon events, schools, colleges, fetes or garden shows.
The trailer, first shown to the public in June 2009 is now available to take to the road.
