BBM&L fly the Mug in the Netherlands

Seven Friends of the BBM&L, including two Directors, attended the 27th Friese Ballonfeesten in Joure, Netherlands.

BBM&L Inflation Day a Success

The 12th BBM&L Inflation Day at Lakeside Lodge, Pidley near Huntingdon was a great success. Organised over months by Tim and Martyn Turner, and helped by teams of excellent people, the pilots, crew, BBM&L friends, LAASi members and the public were able to see and be involved in the inflation of 71 different balloons.

Hot-Air Balloons from the Museum collection to be inflated

The British Balloon Museum & Library are hoping to inflate many of their collection of old balloons at Inflation Day on May 19th. A museum that displays its collections for one day every seven hundred days is unusual, but has to be seen to be believed. Special shapes, unusual logos and balloons which have broken records or flown in big films.

2012 BBM&L Inflation Day – register now

The British Balloon Museum & Library (BBM&L) hold an Inflation Day every two years to inflate balloons from their collection. The event is at Lakeside Lodge, Pidley.

BBM&L AGM & Luncheon Report

Once again the BBM&L AGM and Annual Luncheon at the Elcot Hotel near Newbury was a very successful event, not only a very sociable one but financially beneficial for the Museum – all due to the generosity of the Friends of the Museum and appreciation to Jenni for setting it all up.
