West Berkshire Museum re-launch
The BBM&L has had a ballooning exhibit at the West Berkshire Museum (formerly the Newbury Museum) for over 25 years.
Over the summer of 2007 this has been brought up to date, and in line with the wishes of the Museum focuses on local West Berkshire balloons and pilots as well as the history of ballooning.
To commemorate the make-over and bring the Museum to the public's attention, there will be a Grand Launch on Friday 4th January 2008, to coincide with the Icicle Meet .
The BBM&L and the West Berkshire Museum have updated their display at this museum. West Berkshire were pleased to be working with the BBM&L to enhance the exhibits and give them a fresher look. Elizabetth Hess and Lizzy Shipton along with Jennifer and Richard D'Alton have worked on the display making it a centrepiece of the West Berkshire Museum. Jim Hayden has also produced a DVD of Berkshire ballooning items to accompany it.
